The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA will be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it truly is alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area daily. The website support stage designed for intervention encounters a superior influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to help the servicing of all prospects and boost usage of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
